A RANDY seal has been filmed trying to have sex – with a PENGUIN.
Experts believe the Antarctic fur seal may have started out with the idea of EATING the bird before deciding on a romp instead.
But after several unsuccessful attempts over 45 minutes the seal got fed up with being rejected – and swam off.

Experts say it is the first known case of its kind in the animal kingdom.
The Antarctic fur seal attempted sex with the king penguin on the sub–Antarctic Marion Island.
First the 15½st seal subdued the 2½st penguin by lying on it. The penguin flapped its flippers and tried in vain to stand and escape.
The seal alternated between resting on the penguin and thrusting its pelvis, trying to insert itself, but the bird played hard to get and the seal gave up.
Nico de Bruyn, of the Mammal Research Institute at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, said: “At first glimpse, we thought the seal was killing the penguin. Marion Island is the only place where Antarctic fur seals are known to hunt king penguins on land, so the idea that the seal was trying to eat the object of its attention made sense.

The team who recorded the event believe the seal was young, frustrated and sexually inexperienced and may have been unable to find another seal for sex.
